Document DownloadFaculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in B.E. 2519 according to the College of Teachers Amendment Act B.E. 2518 under the name "Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences". The head of department was called "The head of faculty". After the Rajabhat Institute Act had been declared, the title changed to "Dean". The faculty consisted of 11 departments: Thai, English, Library, Arts, Music, Dance, Philosophy and Religion, Sociology, Political Science and Law, Geography, and History.
In academic year 2541, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat Institute changed its academic structure from departments to programs. Therefore, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences adjusted its administration into 11 programs including Community Development, Public Administration, Sociology, Thai, English, English for Business, Music Education, Music, Applied Arts, Arts, and Art Education.
In academic year 2542, the institute structure was separated into 5 faculties: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Each faculty could have only one office, namely the secretary office. Consequently, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences continued operating in the program-based format.
In academic year 2547, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat Institute was upgraded to Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University in accordance with the Rajabhat University Act.
In B.E. 2548, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences became one of the six faculties of Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. It offered arts programs at the associate and bachelor's levels and graduate studies at the master's level. During the same year, it also opened the law program for regular and continuing education students. The term "program" was later changed to "department" and "program head" to "department chair".
In B.E. 2550, the faculty office was divided into 5 units: general administration, finance and supplies, policy and planning, educational services, and the language center. Besides teaching, these units also provided services to the community. In B.E. 2554, the faculty added the ASEAN Learning Center and the Social Science Research Center in response to changing contexts.
In B.E. 2554, the faculty introduced the Master of Public Administration Program in Local Government and the Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese.
In B.E. 2555, the faculty introduced the Bachelor of Political Science Program in Political Science.
